GoHighLevel takes payments through a provider you connect to each sub-account, such as Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, NMI or Square. Its invoices can be split into installments by percentage or fixed amount, each with its own due date, and its estimates can carry a payment schedule that becomes an invoice when the customer accepts. Auto-pay can charge a saved card. A processing charge can be added as a percentage. Each sub-account connects one Stripe account at a time, so separate businesses need separate sub-accounts.

Everything below is from GoHighLevel's own help center and developer docs, opened on 7 November 2026. HighLevel changes these features often, so check the linked article before you rely on a detail.
How does GoHighLevel take payments?
Through a payment provider you connect to each sub-account. HighLevel lists Stripe, PayPal, Authorize.net, NMI, Square and Razorpay, and shows which one works in which part of the product (HighLevel: supported payment providers by product area).
Two limits to know before you choose:
- One provider beside PayPal. A sub-account can run PayPal plus one other provider, but not two non-PayPal providers together, such as Stripe and NMI (HighLevel: payment providers on different channels).
- One Stripe account per sub-account. "Each HighLevel sub-account can connect to one Stripe account at a time." Separate businesses need separate sub-accounts, each with its own connection (HighLevel: connect Stripe).
HighLevel's help pages don't publish a processing rate of their own. Check your provider's pricing.
What billing tools does GoHighLevel have?
- Invoices, with installment schedules, partial payments, late fees, processing fees, discounts and taxes (HighLevel: invoices).
- Recurring invoices, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly or on a custom interval, ending on a date, after a number of occurrences or by hand. HighLevel notes that it doesn't send automatic reminders for unpaid recurring invoices by default (HighLevel: recurring invoices).
- Estimates, which can carry a payment schedule. When the customer accepts, HighLevel creates the invoice and sends them to its payment page (HighLevel: estimates).
- Invoices from an opportunity, from the opportunity's Payments tab or a workflow, with the opportunity linked (HighLevel: invoices from opportunities).
Can GoHighLevel do payment plans?
Yes, on invoices and estimates.
- On an invoice, split the total into installments by percentage or fixed amount, each with its own due date and status. A reminder goes out on each due date, and the customer pays the installments as set, one or several at a time (HighLevel: payment plans in invoices).
- On an estimate, set the number of payments, with the first due on acceptance or a custom date and the rest at regular intervals or on custom dates (HighLevel: estimates). A first payment due on acceptance works as a deposit.
- Auto-pay is a toggle when you send the invoice, and charges the customer's saved card or a new one (HighLevel: payment plans on invoices).
What the articles don't state: a maximum number of installments, which plans include schedules, and what happens when a scheduled installment's card is declined. For comparison, HighLevel does describe retries elsewhere. Recurring-invoice auto-pay tries twice more, 24 hours apart (HighLevel: auto-payments in recurring templates). Subscriptions retry three times a day apart by default, adjustable (HighLevel: subscription retries). Test a declined installment before you rely on one.
Can you pass card fees on in GoHighLevel?
HighLevel's Processing Charge adds a percentage, with a label you choose such as "Convenience Fee", to invoices and estimates, funnels, stores, payment links, forms and surveys. It's calculated on the subtotal after discounts plus taxes. The article describes one percentage for the channels you select, with no setting for card payments only (HighLevel: processing charges).
That matters because surcharge rules apply to credit cards, and several states limit or ban them. HighLevel's article says compliance is the merchant's responsibility. Check your state's rule before you turn a fee on.
Does GoHighLevel take ACH?
With Stripe, ACH Direct Debit is listed for invoices and recurring invoices (HighLevel: payment providers by product area). With NMI, ACH covers one-time invoices, recurring invoices and subscriptions, and settlement takes up to five business days (HighLevel: NMI ACH).
Does GoHighLevel sync with QuickBooks?
Yes, natively. Payments post to QuickBooks Online as sales receipts, invoices are created once they're sent, and contacts come across from QuickBooks (HighLevel: QuickBooks integration). HighLevel also lists a Xero integration.
When do teams add a billing tool beside GoHighLevel?
GoHighLevel covers invoices, estimates and installments well for one business on one Stripe account. Teams look further when:
- Several locations or companies need their own Stripe accounts and books, but sales works from one place.
- Plans vary customer by customer: different deposits, frequencies and dates on every sale.
- Card fees should apply to card payments only, with bank transfer offered beside card at no fee.
- Declined installments need a defined process the team can see.
How do you connect GoHighLevel to another billing tool?
Three ways, all from HighLevel's own docs:
- Zapier. HighLevel's Zapier app is called LeadConnector. Its trigger is Pipeline Stage Changed, and its actions include Add/Update Contact, Add/Update Opportunity and Add Lead to Workflow (Zapier: LeadConnector).
- Workflow webhooks. The Custom Webhook action calls another system's API with your headers and body, and the Inbound Webhook trigger starts a workflow when another system posts to it. Both are premium: $0.01 per execution after 100 free per sub-account (HighLevel: Custom Webhook, Inbound Webhook, premium pricing).
- The API. OAuth or a sub-account Private Integration Token can create and update contacts and opportunities, including custom fields (HighLevel API: create opportunity).
Through the API, send the opportunity's ID with the sale so both systems can find it. Whichever route you use, move the opportunity to a paid stage when the money arrives, so sales can see it without opening the billing tool.
Paycove turns a won GoHighLevel opportunity into a quote or an invoice through Zapier, or a payment plan through its API, and moves the opportunity to your paid stage when the customer pays.
