Not on its own. Pipedrive's invoicing feature creates the invoice in QuickBooks and shows its status on the deal, and installments forecast revenue, but neither charges a card. A customer can pay by card through the QuickBooks invoice if you use QuickBooks Payments, or through a payment app connected to Pipedrive. For a payment plan, the app also has to charge each payment on its date and write the result back to the deal.
Does Pipedrive have built-in card payments?
No. Pipedrive's help articles cover creating invoices and forecasting revenue. Neither describes charging a card.
- Invoicing is included in every Pipedrive plan. It creates the invoice in QuickBooks from the deal, and the invoice's status updates on the deal. Third-party apps may cost extra. (Pipedrive: invoicing)
- Installments split a deal's value into up to 36 payments with their own dates and amounts, on the Growth plan and above. They feed contract value and the revenue forecast. Nothing is charged on the billing date. (Pipedrive: recurring products and installments)
Taking the money is left to other tools. The Pipedrive Marketplace groups them in a collection called "Enable payments and tracking", which listed 29 apps on 12 October 2026. (Pipedrive Marketplace)
How can a customer pay a Pipedrive invoice by card?
There are two routes.
Through the QuickBooks invoice. If you use QuickBooks Payments, the customer gets an email with a link to pay the invoice by credit card, ACH bank transfer, PayPal or Venmo. You have to be approved for credit cards before you can accept bank payments. (QuickBooks: receive and process payments)
Through a payment app connected to Pipedrive. The app takes the payment and reports it back to Pipedrive. What it writes back varies from app to app. Check where the payment status and the remaining balance appear, and whether your reps will see them on the deal.
The QuickBooks route suits a single invoice. For a plan, ask how each later payment gets charged. The customer might save a card or bank account once and be charged on each date, or get a new invoice and pay it by hand each time.
What should a payment app for Pipedrive do?
For a one-off payment, most apps will do. For deposits and plans, check that it can:
- Start from the deal, so the amount, the products and the location don't get typed in twice.
- Offer card and bank transfer on one checkout, so the customer can choose the cheaper method.
- Save the payment method and charge it on schedule, with a reminder before each date.
- Write back to Pipedrive: each payment, what's still owed, and the stage once the plan is paid.
- Pay the right account, if your locations are separate entities with their own bank accounts and books. (Why some groups run an LLC per location)
What does a card payment cost?
On Stripe's standard US pricing, a domestic card costs 2.9% + 30¢ per successful payment. ACH Direct Debit costs 0.8%, capped at $5. (Stripe pricing)
On a payment of $1,108.33, that is $32.44 by card and $5.00 by bank transfer. A plan charges that fee on every payment, so the gap grows with each one. The $15,000 plan comparison runs the numbers over a whole plan, and the Stripe fee calculator works it out for any amount.
Can the customer cover the card fee?
In some places. Stripe's surcharging rules for the United States allow a surcharge on credit cards only, up to 3%. The surcharge has to be disclosed before the purchase and shown separately on the receipt, and the customer must be able to cancel or choose a different payment method. State rules apply on top. (Stripe: collect surcharges)
Offering bank transfer beside card gives customers a way to pay without the surcharge.
When is Pipedrive's invoicing enough on its own?
When you send a few invoices by hand and customers pay each one in full. The invoice's status on the deal shows who has paid.
Once customers pay over months, pay automatically, or pay different locations, the charging needs a tool connected to the deal. Taking a deposit and scheduling the balance from a Pipedrive deal walks through the setup.
Payment plans built from the deal in HubSpot or Pipedrive, with each location paid into its own account and books.
Paycove builds the checkout or the plan from the Pipedrive deal, takes card or bank transfer, and pays each location into its own Stripe account and books.
